These are trends being introduced by big dessert industry names such as Perry’s, Baskin-Robbins, Ben & Jerry, and Dunkin’ Doughnuts. With summer upon us, many companies are looking for ways to implement ice cream (EU) into their products with initiatives like an ice cream flavored beer, beer floats, and an ice cream flavor inspired by the combination of doughnuts and coffee.
At the International Dairy Foods Association’s Innovative Ice Cream Flavor Competition, some of the top trends included ice creams that incorporated baked goods and offered the crunchiness of a cookie or the chewiness of a brownie.
