DeWAL DW 103 Europe
D/W 103 is a skived PTFE that has been compounded with carbon to produce a highly conductive film. D/W 103 can be surface treated to enhance bonding to other substrates. D/W 103 can be used as a static dissipative layer within "high static" paint hoses.
DeWAL DW 105 Europe
DW 105 is a skived general grade filled PTFE film product. This product can be surface treated for bonding as needed. Applicaitions for DW 105 are in the industrial and chemical hose industry as well as other mechanical applications where the addition of fillers will increase the life of a PTFE product. Another market that is served with DW 105 is the wire & cable market where conductive filled films are sometimes used.
DeWAL DW 200 Europe
D/W 200 is skived from a modified homopolymer PTFE resin containing a higher level of a fully fluorinated comonomer than is in our 220 film. The incorporation of the comonomer yields a material with improved electrical and physical properties. This film can be thermally bonded (fused) to itself (625 - 650 degrees F). The modified homopolymer resin exhibits chemical resistance equivalent to that of homopolymer PTFE. Its tensile strength is approximately 25% higher, and the elongation is approximately 60% higher than for homopolymer PTFE. Because of these properties D/W 200 is often a good substitute for melt Processable films such as PFA. D/W 200 may be thermally fused to itself making possible the fabrication of structures requiring these properties. D/W 200 can also be used as a high dielectric strength fusible wrap in electrical and electronic cable applications. It can also be used as a bonding film in the circuit board industry.
DeWAL DW 2000 Europe
D/W 2000 is a skived PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) film held to close tolerance on width and thickness. D/W 2000 conforms to ASTM D 3308 Type II as well as to SAE AMS 3662C. D/W 2000 finds use in electrical applications where high temperature service rating and/or superior electrical properties are desired. This material is often used as a release film in the production of high temperature flex circuit materials as well as in the production of microwave circuit materials where it is seen as both a release film and a bonding film. D/W 2000 is an excellent release film for the molding of composite structures.
DeWAL DW 202 Europe
D/W 202 is a skived PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) film held to close tolerance on width and thickness. D/W 202 conforms to ASTM D3308 Type II and SAE AMS 3662C. Examples of electrical applications include capacitor films, harnesses for electrical wiring in automotive and aerospace applications, spacers for transformers and other electrical insulation applications where high dielectric strength and high temperature resistance are requisite.
DeWAL DW 203 Europe
D/W 203 is an unsintered PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) film used primarily for electrical insulation, particularly for wire and cable applications. The polymer is fibrilated giving good strength in the machine direction. It has the inherent benefits of PTFE: exceptional chemical resistance, extreme temperature range from 450F to +500F, low coefficient of friction, excellent drape characteristics and non-stick properties. D/W 203 is used in cable insulation, harness wrap, and as the dielectric medium in coaxial cables. Once sintered, it seals completely to provide excellent electrical insulating properties, unsurpassed chemical resistance and excellent thermal resistance. DeWAL's unsintered PTFE tape has good drape characteristics allowing it to conform smoothly to complicated shapes. D/W 203 can be used for gaskets, expansion joints, valve seals and diaphragm applications. It is available unpigmented and pigmented to match EIA colors. It has good strength after sintering and is used where chemical inertness and high temperature resistance are needed.
DeWAL DW 211 Europe
D/W 211 is a film, skived from virgin PTFE, that has been etched on one side with sodium ammonia (D/W 216), after which a primer has been applied to enhance bonding to elastomers and pressure sensitive adhesives. This surface treatment allows PTFE, which normally exhibits very poor adhesion, to be bonded to other materials. In some applications, sodium ammonia etched materials exhibit somewhat higher strengths than those etched with sodium naphthalene (D/W 212). Applications for sodium etched PTFE include bonding to elastomers to produce laminated diaphragms, as well as the application of pressure sensitive adhesives in the production of PTFE pressure sensitive tapes. In all of the above applications, the lamination or adhesive application is usually accomplished with a primer that is specific to the material being applied.
DeWAL DW 212 Europe
D/W 212 is a film , skived from virgin PTFE, that has been etched on one side with sodium naphthalene. This surface treatment allows PTFE, which normally exhibits very poor adhesion, to be bonded to other materials. The major applications for sodium etched PTFE involve bonding to elastomers to produce laminated diaphragms, as well as the application of pressure sensitive adhesives in the production of PTFE pressure sensitive tapes. In all the above applications, the lamination or adhesive application is usually accomplished with a primer that is specific to the material being applied.
DeWAL DW 213 Europe
D/W 213 is a film skived from virgin PTFE, that has been etched on one side with Sodium Naphthalene (D/W212) after which a primer has been applied to enhance bonding to elastomers and pressure sensitive adhesives. This surface treatment allows the PTFE which normally exhibits very poor adhesion to be bonded to other materials. The primer may be specified by the end user or may be recommended by DeWAL for specific applications. The primary applications for sodium etched PTFE involve bonding to elastomers to produce laminated diaphragms, as well as the applicaton of pressure sensitive adhesives in the production of PTFE pressure sensitive tapes.
DeWAL DW 216 Europe
Skived from virgin PTFE that has been etched on one side with sodium ammonia. This surface treatment allows PTFE to become a "bondable surface" to other materials. In some applicatons Sodium Ammonia etched materials exhibit somewhat higher bond strengths than those etched with Sodium Naphthalene (D/W 212). Applications for sodium etched PTFE include bonding to elastomers to produce laminated diaphragms, as well as the application of pressure sensitive adhesives in the production of PTFE pressure sensitive tapes.
DeWAL DW 220 Europe
A Skived PTFE film that is produced from a modified homopolymer PTFE resin containing <1% of a fully fluorinated comonomer. The incorporation of the comonomer yields a material with improved electrical and physical properties. This film can be thermally fused to itself. The modified homopolymer resin exhibits chemical resistance equivalent to that of a standard homopolymer PTFE. It's tensile strength is approximately 10% higher and the elongation is approximately 30% higher than for a standard homopolymer PTFE. With its ability to be heat fused, this film finds applications in the convoluted PTFE hose industry as a inner liner material.
DeWAL DW 222 Europe
Skived from virgin PTFE that has been etched on both sides with "sodium ammonia". This surface treatment allows the PTFE to become bondable on two sides. D/W 222 film is used in applications where it is necessary to allow a bond to both sides of the PTFE film. The D/W 222 film is used in areas of polymer composite construction where it serves as an integral part of the composite and where bonding to both sides is necessary.
DeWAL DW 224 Europe
D/W 224 is a skived, tensilzed PTFE that has been sodium napthalene etched on both sides to allow bonding to itself and other substrates within composite construction hoses and similar products. The tensilzing process yields as film with significantly enhanced tensile properties. D/W 224 is finding applications in hydraulic, chemical and other hose constructions where internal bonding to the elastomeric materials is required.
