It is the highly refined unsaponifiable fraction of lanolin, composed of a complex mixture of cholesterol, lanosterol, and their di-hydro derivatives plus straight and branched-chain aliphatic alcohols. Lanolin Alcohol is one of the most efficient w/o, non-ionic emulsifying agents, and increases the water-absorbing capacity of hydrocarbon mixtures to a greater degree than any other high molecular weight alcohol.
Ecolano™ AL-E is the alcohol grade rich in cholesterols. Because of its high cholesterol content, it has very high water retention and emulsification properties compared to other higher alcohols, and its less stickiness than lanolin provides a good consistency and fine texture when used in O/W type emulsions. veja menos

O Viscopon é um espessante sintético apropriado para uso em detergentes líquidos e similares. É compatível com a maioria dos tensoativos aniônicos, não iônicos, catiônicos e anfóteros utilizados em formulações de produtos domissanitários. Apresenta instabilidade quando aplicado com branqueadores ópticos, formulações ácidas (HF/HCl) ou muito alcalinas( tolerância máxima de pH 8,5). Em combinação com Alquil Éter Sulfatos proporciona melhorias de viscosidade, espuma e ponto de turvação. A utilização do Viscopon nas formulações de detergentes líquidos não dispensa o uso de eletrólitos, apresentando melhor resposta quando em combinação com Sulfato de Magnésio. Indicado em concentrações que variam de 0,5% a 2,0% como incremento de viscosidade, podendo ser utilizadas concentrações mais elevadas desde que previamente avaliadas. veja menos
