To compensate, a slightly harder, higher Tg, resin is required to obtain the desired final film hardness. OXFILM 351 is not designed to be a drop-in replacement for traditional ester alcohol or glycol ether coalescents. It is intended for next generation low odor, low VOC coatings. Use of a slightly harder polymer is recommended to compensate for its permanence and plasticizing effect in the dried film.
