SILCOLEASE PC-675 UV/EB silicone low friction release modifier is a 100% reactive release coating component based on epoxy-silicone copolymer technology. This release modifier has been very specifically designed for optimum surface activity and exhibits very low polarity and surface tension more akin to high molecular weight di-methyl silicones. When blended at levels of 1-6% into the SILCOLEASE UV POLY 200 UV/EB silicone polymer release coating system, it effectively acts as a low releaseControlledReleaseAdditive (CRA-minus). It also cuts both dynamic (Kd) and static (Ks) coefficients of friction, up to 50% compared with standard UV Premium Release formulations. SILCOLEASE PC-675 modified silicone release chemistries result in smoother coatings with often dramatically reduced release zippiness against very aggressive adhesives. Rapid and stable cure with excellent anchorage to paper and film is achieved by simply passing the coating under high-intensity ultraviolet light (medium pressure mercury vapor bulbs) or electron beam irradiation.
