Kalama® Benzaldehyde is an industrially useful aromatic aldehyde that is used extensively as a non-reactive diluent in epoxy resin coatings, where it reduces the viscosity and raises product flexibility. LANXESS’s leadership position for benzaldehyde and dual production locations (in the U.S. and Europe) allow us to set the standards for quality, reliability, and security of supply. LANXESS’s manufacturing process also uses oxidation technology, ensuring that Kalama® Benzaldehyde does not contain chlorine residuals (low-chlorine or chlorine-free benzaldehyde), in contrast to many competitive benzaldehyde offerings. It is produced using the highest standards for quality and sustainability, including ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. Emerald Kalama Chemical was acquired by LANXESS in 2021.
