PChem® BM44, in the form of a pellet, is a thermoplastic solid acrylic resin with good flexibility, weather-ability, unique hardness, and is easily soluble in numerous organic solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons, ketones, long-chain fatty alcohol, and esters. It has good compatibility with other film forming resins such as vinyl resin, epoxy resin, cellulose, and other acrylic resin.
BM44 can enhance the phase’s pigment dispersion, stability, and dryness for PVDF resin, thanks to the great compatibility with PVDF resin and is widely used in baking-type fluorocarbon coatings (PVDF coatings) and top layer of printable films, because of its good presentation of adhesion on metal substrates (especially at post-baking process). It has a molecular weight of 100,000 g/mol, moisture content of equal to or less than 0.5%, acid value of equal to or less than 2.0 mgKOH/g, and an inherent viscosity of 0.40.
