It improves mar-resistance, slip and smoothness, decreases the tendency to floating of pigments and the sensitivity to air-draughts. EFKA® SL 3031 is compatible with all medium- to high-polarity solventbased systems. In unsaturated polyesters, e.g., UV-curable, EFKA® SL 3031 improves slip and smoothness of the surface with no influence on curtain stability when applied by curtain coating. The sensitivity to air drafts when sprayed or poured will be reduced by EFKA® SL 3031. This product also improves leveling and mar resistance and acts as an antiblocking agent. This is particularly advantageous in PUR systems based on hydroxyl acrylics. Due to its high surface activity, EFKA® SL 3031 can interfere with intercoat adhesion when recoated without sanding. If air is introduced by the application equipment, small amounts of defoamers such as EFKA® PB 2020 and EFKA® SI 2022 should be added. 收起
