In unsaturated polyesters, e.g., UV-curable, EFKA® SL 3031 improves slip and smoothness of the surface with no influence on curtain stability when applied by curtain coating. The sensitivity to air drafts when sprayed or poured will be reduced by EFKA® SL 3031. This product also improves leveling and mar resistance and acts as an antiblocking agent. This is particularly advantageous in PUR systems based on hydroxyl acrylics. Due to its high surface activity, EFKA® SL 3031 can interfere with intercoat adhesion when recoated without sanding.
