It is characterized by non-sticky, hydrophobic, and oleophobic properties. Provides strong adhesion to steel, aluminum, glass, and plastics like PMMA and ABS as well as to old coating layers. It covalently bonds with the substrate resulting in a very durable finish. It can be used as a standalone resin or might be formulated with other raw materials like white and colored pigments, organic resins, fillers, and additives. The use of water-based raw materials should be avoided. Durability is a unique feature of EXOCOAT® 143. It can sustain mechanical abrasion, and chemical attack and is UV stable. When applied at a very low layer thickness of 0.5 to 2µm it provides the surface with a protective hard coating that shows durable easy-to-clean, dirt resistance, anti-graffiti, and strong water repellency properties. It is suitable for ambient or force-cured, high-performance industrial coatings such as protective, coil, marine, and automotive. Airborne particles like VOCs, NOx, and biopollution are also eradicated by EXOCOAT® 151A. It can be used as a general air purifier. Though most effective in outdoor light conditions, it is adapted for use under visible light as found in the interior. In all cases, it should be used as a topcoat to ensure its full effect. Glass and walls coated with EXOCOAT® 151A are super hydrophilic enhancing water-sheeting, also called the wash-off effect. It may be used on other flat surfaces such as plastics or coated substrates yet only interior. It dries under room temperature conditions. It can function as stand-alone resin at a layer thickness of 0.5 to 2 µm to form a durable finish that can be easy to clean. It bonds to substrates such as steel, aluminum, glass, and old coating layers. It can be used as conversion coating replacing Cr(VI). It may be co-formulated with the most frequently used coating ingredients from the group of pigments, fillers, resins, additives, and (co-)solvents and creates colored, super hard, or matte surfaces. It eradicates viruses such as influenza, SARS-COV-2, dengue & hepatitis and bacteria such as E. coli, MSRA, streptococcus, listeria, pneumonia, and salmonella. It is activated by light and displays quick drying at room temperature. Spray application is recommended to reach thin monolayers. It exhibits curing at room temperature up to 300°C and super hard particles (1GPa Vickers). It is easy to apply & durable, allowing longer disinfection intervals while preserving hygiene level. It shows non-silver leaching, efficacious even under low light conditions, lower service frequency, and no need for frequent disinfection routine.
