Kalama® Cinnamic Aldehyde is an aromatic aldehyde, widely used in flavoring where a cinnamon character is desired. Although it is found in nature as the main constituent of cassia and cinnamon bark oils, the majority of Kalama® Cinnamic Aldehyde is produced synthetically. Kalama® Cinnamic Aldehyde adds spicy oriental notes to soap, perfumes, and household items. It is also used in flavoring compounds at concentrations ranging from 0.01 to 0.8 %. In Europe and the United States Kalama® Cinnamic Aldehyde is especially popular in bakery goods, toothpaste, chewing gum, candy and mouthwash.
