Cinnamon Leaf Oil is a natural oil obtained by the steam distillation of the leaves of Cinnamomum Zylanicum Nees. It is a pale yellow to brownish-yellow free-flowing liquid with a warm and spicy odor. It is used as a flavor modifier in food products. In the chemical industry, it is used for the isolation of Euginol from which vanillin and other derivatives are produced. Cinnamon oil can be used for infection of the respiratory tract, rheumatism, arthritis and general pains. It calms feelings of depression, tones the whole body and stimulates the glandular system - an effect that eases menstrual pains.
