Dextrin 

Dextrin is a kind of hydrolysis product between starch and starch sugar. Its characteristics consist of good fluidity, solubility, moderate viscidity, emulsification, stableness, and anti re-crystallization. Dextrin is a white amorphous powder with a smell of maltodextrin and a pH value of 4.0-6.0. It is widely used in the food industry to improve taste and extend shelf life of products. It is often used in tea, coffee, ice cream, etc.
