Specsil K-72 is 100% silicone MQ resin. It is soluble in a number of different silicone fluids (Dimethicone and Cyclopentasiloxane) and a number of organic materials up to concentrations of 50% or more. The silicone resin provides water and wash-off resistance in a variety of cosmetic applications.
A pre-mix of Specsil K-72 with your solvent of choice should be made by slowly sprinkling the Specsil K-72 into the carrier fluid with moderate agitation to avoid lumping. Once completely added to the batch, mix until dissolved. Pre-mix should then be added to the oil phase of the formulation. 收起
