Yandee Oil is a high-cineole (Eucalyptol) Eucalyptus Oil, comprising 70-75% of the total composition. Additional components include 4-methyl, 2-pentyl acetate (4-5%), ß-caryophyllene (0.1-0.2%), aromadendrene (0.2-0.3%), and viridifloral (0.06-0.1%). Indigenous to the Western Australian region east of Perth called the “Wheat Belt”, Eucalyptus Yandee shares much of the same ‘good news’ environmental story as Eucalyptus Kochii Oil. Planted in intercropping rows with large wheat fields, these two species are largely responsible as saviors of the local environment by using their 20+ meter roots to reduce the impact of increased soil salinity by drawing down the water table.
