PELEMOL® 3G22 is a 100% active, solid, all vegetable derived monoester of behenic acid and polyglycerin-3. As such, each molecule contains four unreacted, free hydroxyl groups at one end and one long C22 alkyl moiety as a behenate ester at the other end.

PELEMOL® 3G22 is a 100% active, solid, all vegetable derived monoester of behenic acid and polyglycerin-3. As such, each molecule contains four unreacted, free hydroxyl groups at one end and one long C22 alkyl moiety as a behenate ester at the other end.
The four free hydroxyl groups provide considerable hydrophilicity and the long behenyl alkyl hydrophobic chain enables the molecule to function as a non-alkylene oxide containing emulsifier.
PELEMOL® 3G22 is actually self-emulsifying. Ten percent PELEMOL® 3G22 in water forms a lotion-like stable w/o emulsion while 50% in water results in a cream-like stable w/o emulsion. 收起

We can attribute these properties to hydrogen bonding with the skin surface. PELEMOL® GMR is completely vegetable derived. It is highly lubricious and functions as an excellent pigment wetting ester. Among its other properties, this product exhibits cushion, good play time, and high shine. It is easily incorporated into the oil phase of an emulsion and can also be emulsified with Phoenomulse 100 to a high internal phase resulting in a thin o/w emulsion. These excellent properties make PELEMOL® GTAR highly useful in lipstick, make-up products, skin lotions and creams at 1% to 20% levels. 收起
