When mixed with water, these clays form opaque, colloidal dispersions. The resulting colloidal structure enhances emulsion stability, suspends abrasives and thickens the formulation. Formulators can prepare cleaners that spread or spray easily, coat evenly and cling to vertical surfaces. As stabilizing agents and rheology modifiers, VAN GEL and VEEGUM products are effective over a wide pH and temperature range.
