It has extremely high water exclusion properties which helps to produce superhydrophobic coatings. It can be applied on concrete, pavement, walls, and stucco to get the so-called Lotus Effect. The sol-gel system deposits superhydrophobic particles on the porous substrate. EXOCOAT® SH will not form a film and as a result, the wall stays breathable. With the contact angle of 145o water droplets bounce back from the surface and will roll down immediately upon touch.
