A functional or barrier coating may be applied to a paper or paperboard substrate to provide a barrier or other desired properties.These coatings can be used in both food and non-food paperboard packaging applications.The barrier coating blocks the passage of particular substances including: moisture vapor, water, oils, and grease under a variety of conditions and temperatures. The purpose of a barrier coating is to provide protection, to ensure a longer shelf-life, and to better protect the product and package integrity. Below is a MVTR barrier coating starting point formulation that was applied to a linerboard substrate.

The Rovene® line of low viscosity, water-based emulsions features a variety of styrene-butadiene ratios, molecular weights, and degrees carboxylation. Lists combine the ease of Bookmarks with the versatility of Tags. Instead of one collection of bookmarked items, create as many collections, called "Lists," as you need.
Find the link to your List page in the user menu.
All Tags have been converted to separate Lists, and your bookmarked items have been saved to a "Bookmarks" List.
When you click the Add to List button, a dropdown of your existing Lists appears. Click the List name to which you want to add this product or formula.
You can also create a new List. Simply click "Create a New List" and enter a name.
When you define a new List, the current item is automatically added to it. You can add a product or formula to as many Lists as you need.
Easily see which Lists this item appears in, and quickly go to that List from the links that appear on the page.
