Aqualon® CMC-7H4F is cellulose gum, or sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), and is widely used as an economical thickener and stabilizer in foods and beverages. This product has a viscosity of 3,000-6,000, a concentration of 1, and a spindle number of 4. Besides modifying the behavior of water, cellulose gum is useful in suspending solids and modifying the flow and texture, and has the ability to form strong, oil-resistant films.
