Lalvin ICV D254® 

Lalvin ICV D254® is a wine fermenting yeast of the saccharomyces cerevisiae cerevisiae strain, with a moderate fermentation speed, medium nitrogen needs, and a temperature of 59-86 degrees Fahrenheit. It enhances varietal character and produces high fore-mouth volume, big mid-palate mouthfeel, intense fruit concentration, smooth tannins and a mildly spicy finish. It is used in the production of red wines, sometimes to mask vegetative character.
