Due to its high reactivity, FD‐NPZ can react with lower reactivity functional group of binder resin, such as –OH and –COOH on substrate and coating, At high temperature (>350oC) FD‐NPZ decomposes to form Zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) and forms thin layer on different substrates (glass, mineral, pigment, metal) and surface hardness and surface activity are improved.
