Rosin Modified Phenolic Resin PI138 is a condensed product of phenol, rosin, and formaldehyde that is esterified by glycerol. It has a viscosity of 2400-3200 at 35°C and can be easily mixed with linseed or other vegetable oils. This product is commonly used to provide solubility, a high softening point, hardness, high gloss, and fast drying in planographic offset printing inks.
