It is a high-molecular weight unsaturated carboxylic acid, combined with a very compatible organically modified polysiloxane. This transparent, slightly brownish liquid is especially suitable for medium to high-polarity binder systems, for example: alkyd/amino resin combinations, nitro-cellulose systems, polyurethane- and chlorinated polymer systems, acrylic polyisocyanate systems (2-pack acrylics), and chlorinated polymers. EFKA® FA 4665 is not compatible with white spirit or paints which are diluted with white spirit. view less

Due to its wide compatibility and the combination with a polysiloxane, the following advantages can be achieved: reduced dispersion time and stabilization of the pigment dispersion, prevention of flooding and floating, reduced pigment sedimentation, reduced tendency to 'orange-peel', improved gloss and leveling. This product is a high-molecular weight unsaturated polycarboxylic acids and esters, combined with a compatible organically modified polysiloxane. Efka® FA 4670 is especially suitable to stabilize all kinds of pigments and is applied in solvent-based industrial coatings like: alkyd/amino resin combinations; acrylic polyisocyanate systems; nitro-cellulose systems; polyurethane- and chlorinated polymer systems; and chlorinated polymers. view less

This results in reduced dispersion time, stabilization of the pigment dispersion, decreased flooding of pigments, and prevention of hard sedimentation. This product is an alkylol ammonium salt of a high-molecular weight carboxylic acid. EFKA® FA 4671 is suitable for use in low or high-polarity solvent systems as well as water-based coatings. It is used to reduce flooding and settling in non-polar systems e.g. air drying alkyd paints. It is an effective anti-settling agent in wash and shop primers. It improves the color acceptance of tinting bases in white latex paints, resulting in higher pigment efficiency. view less |
