ETHOXCARE® Emulsifying Wax

  • Company:

    Ethox Chemicals

  • INCI Name:

    Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Polysorbate 60

ETHOXCARE® Emulsifying Wax is a mixture of cetearyl alcohol and the polyethylene glycol sorbitan ester of stearic acid with an average of 20 repeating units of ethylene glycol. It is a complete emulsion system that simplifies the formulation of oil-in-water emulsions since it can be simply added to the water phase and heated with mixing to create an emulsion. ETHOXCARE® Emulsifying Wax is useful in a wide range of personal care products and cosmetics and is compatible with extremes of pH and high levels of electrolytes. Since it is a completely saturated solid material, it produces very stable emulsions with good body and opacity and provides conditioning properties.
