PCOs are powerful antioxidants, perhaps much greater than vitamins C and E. They also inhibit a number of enzymes that degrade connective tissue such as elastase, collagenase, and hyaluronidase. Lexgard® SC-50 is an emollient, moisturizer and wetting agent which can be used in cosmetic emulsion systems such as skin care creams and lotions or in surfactant based products such as shower gels, facial cleansers and shampoos. Lexgard® SC-50 can also provide odor control in deodorant applications and an anti-soaping effect in emulsions.
