Spectrastat™ G2 Natural MB is a 100% natural complete system for self-preserving cosmetic and personal care products. Spectrastat™ G2 Natural MB is ideal for personal care products as an alternative to parabens, phenoxyethanol, MIT or other preservatives that may be undesirable. The novel blend of Caprylhydroxamic Acid with Glyceryl Caprylate, a skin conditioning agent, creates a ready-to-use combination that effectively controls bacteria, yeast, and mold over a broad pH range from pH 4 – 8 with a typical use level of 1.0 – 1.5% (w/w). Spectrastat™ G2 Natural MB has been demonstrated to be an effective in cleansing compositions, emulsions, wipes lotions and color cosmetics. It is primarily effective against yeast & mold and can be combined with a bacteria control agent, like Lexgard Natural GC88 MB (Glyceryl Caprylate) or Lexgard® O (Caprylyl Glycol) for broad spectrum protection. Zeastat™ is effective over a broad pH range from pH 4 - 8 with a typical use level of 1.0 - 2.0% (w/w). Zeastat™ is cold processable and water soluble and can be used in emulsion, anhydrous, and surfactant systems. These include creams, lotions, shower gels, and color cosmetics.
