Silasoma MEA(S) is an aqueous dispersion of encapsulated UV absorbers (60% as active component). This product is an average diameter of 2 micrometers microcapsule using silk protein as a wall material. And encapsulation eminently reduces penetration of UV absorbers into skin. It is suitable for sunscreen for sensitive skin or baby care. Encapsulating the UV absorbers provides a soft and light after-feel and allows for surfactant-free and safer sun protection formulations. Silasoma MEA(S) microcapsules contain Ethylhexylmethoxycinnamate and Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane. There are also products with different preservatives and chelating agents. It is developed and manufactured in Japan by SEIWA KASEI. view less
