SeraSense SF CM56 is a blend of cyclic volatile silicone fluids which can be used in a wide variety of skin, hair and colour personal care applications. It has excellent skin feel with a transient emolliency. It is one of the most widely used and important cosmetic solvents currently used. The ratio of this product is 65:35 cyclopentasiloxane to cyclohexasiloxane and is designed to create a more varied evaporation profile than the standard SeraSense CM5 product which leads to a unique elegant feel. It is recommended for use in antiperspirants and deodorants, skin lotions, hair sprays, nail polishes, shaving lotions, perfumes and colognes, and make-up. This polymer is also very compatible with organic ingredients meaning that formulations containing natural materials can be created that still feel light and silky.
