Hakuenka® CCR-S10 is a precipitated calcium carbonate coated with fatty acids in order to improve the dispersion in organic binders. Hakuenka® CCR-S10 is used to modify and control the rheology of sealants and adhesives when a pronounced shear thinning characteristic is the objective. It promotes high yield values and remarkable flowability of the finished product at the same time. Hakuenka® CCR-S10 improves sag and slump resistance and renders reinforcing properties. In printing inks Hakuenka® CCR-S10 is used as a mineral additive.
Company
Shiraishi-Omya GmbH manufactures high-quality Hakuenka® products that are chiefly used by the growing adhesives and sealants industry, although precipitated calcium carbonate in dry powder form is an accepted ingredient of printing inks and plastics as well. Ultrafine precipitated calcium carbonate contains particles of defined size in the sub-100 nanometer range that lend adhesives and sealants anti-sagging properties, adhesion, and enhanced mechanical strength.
