Polytone PA 351

Polytone PA 351 is a polymeric fatty acid based polyamide resin. This product is a bright light yellow color spirit soluble resin that comes in broken lumps. It is non-reactive polyamide resin in a solid form that provides adhesion many different substrates and solvent release properties with low odor. Polytone PA 351 is primarily used for flexographic and gravure printing inks.

Polytone PA 351 shows excellent solubility in a variety of solvents that don’t attack rubber stereos. Under certain conditions the solutions forms reversible gels on standing and to avoid this, it is recommended to add small percentage of water or higher alcohols or aromatic hydrocarbon solvent. Polytone PA 351 has infinite solubility in ethanol and higher alcohols. It is soluble in methanol at higher concentrations – 40% and above.
