PELEMOL® ODL is the reaction product of octyldodecanol, a C20 guerbet alcohol and lactic acid. It is a highly polar ester and although water insoluble its polarity gives it a degree of water offenity and affivity to skin. This property results in high cushion, emolliency, gloss and moisturization. It also functions to disperse and wet pigments. These properties suggest its use in a number of make-up products such as eye shadows, concealers, powders and blushes. view less

PELEMOL® ISL is a 100% active, oil-soluble, liquid ester and can be described as lubricious and silky to the touch. When PELEMOL® ISL is in its unhydrolyzed form it functions as emollient and humectant, because of its ability to decrease the rate of transepidermal water loss through occlusion and its ability to bind water for the atmosphere and lower, more hydrated layers of the epidermis through hydrogen bonding with its free hydroxyl group.
This emollient not only provides moisturization through a semi-occlusive barrier effect, but also delivers the alpha-hydroxy acid lactic acid...view more

This emollient not only provides moisturization through a semi-occlusive barrier effect, but also delivers the alpha-hydroxy acid lactic acid via a slow releasing owing to the skin's own natural esterases. It can be applied in skin creams, lotions, lipsticks, lip products, body lotions, bath gels, eye shadows, mascaras, blushes and cuticle treatments. view less
