ETHOXCARE® LA-9 is a surfactant that is 100% active nonionic which is the polyethylene glycol ether of lauryl alcohol with an average of 9 repeating units of ethylene glycol. It can be used in combination or combined with other surfactants to achieve any required HLB. Since they are completely saturated they are very stable over a wide pH range. It is useful as an emulsifier for making oil-in-water emulsions but specific members of this series also have additional benefits. ETHOXCARE® LA-9 is useful as a detergent and solubilizer.
