BENTONE® LUXE WS allows the creation of elegant textures with a thixotropic flow and suspension of active ingredients. It improves application properties, enhances skin-feel by masking greasy or tacky components and imparts a pleasant residual silkiness to the skin. This grade is designed to impart rheological control and suspension to silicone-based cosmetics and emulsion systems. It provides thermostable viscosity control of the emulsion's oil phase. It aids in dispersing pigments and sunscreen actives for even coverage. This product is compliant with RSPO requirements. view less

Surfactant/betaine systems (e.g. alpha olefin sulfonates) tend to irritate because they defat tissue. Therefore, formulators add unsaturated molecules such as oleyl amides and oleyl betaines to mitigate the irritation, but these materials tend to oxidize to aldehydes and do not smell good. As a result, high fragrance levels are required. BETAFAN-M systems reduce this effect. BETAFAN™ M can be used in surfactant and nonsurfactant systems for effective conditioning. view less
