GLICENAT® GC K is a colorless, odorless, viscous, sweet taste, hygroscopic and non-corrosive liquid. It is a polyol with low toxicity and is derived from raw materials of plant origin and renewable sources. Obtained from hydrolysis of vegetable triglycerides GLICENAT® GC K is free of contaminants typical of glycerol obtained from the biodiesel.
GLICENAT® GC K works as a vehicle, humectant and lubricant in cosmetic creams and lotions, shampoos, toothpastes, shaving foams, shower gels and bars for personal care. The use in soaps is common for applications on sensitive skin, due to the humectant nature of glycerin, preventing skin dryness. Furthermore it presents applications in adhesives and lubricant pastes; in the manufacture of rigid and flexible foams, as plasticizer; intermediate in the production of nitroglycerin, alkyd resins and cellophane. view less
