Viscopon is a synthetic thickener suitable for use in liquid detergents and the like. It is compatible with most anionic, nonionic, cationic and amphoteric surfactants used in household cleaning product formulations. It exhibits instability when applied with optical brighteners, acidic formulations (HF / HCl) or too alkaline (pH tolerance of 8.5). In Alkyl Ether Sulfates combination with providing viscosity improvements, foam and cloud point. The use of Viscopon in liquid detergent formulations do not require the use of electrolytes, showing better response when combined with magnesium sulfate. Indicated at concentrations ranging from 0.5% to 2.0% as the viscosity increase, may be used provided that higher concentrations previously evaluated. view less
