This product non-volatile content (0.9 - 1.1g / 1h / 125°C,convection oven) 30 ± 1, a flow time at 23°C, (4mmcup) of 10 - 55 , and a pH value at 20°C (supply form) of 7-8. Baybond® XL 825 was developed as crosslinker for the sizing of glass fibers used in combination with Baybond binders to reinforce thermoplastics, particularly polyamide. Glass fiber sizes based on Baybond® XL 825 are characterized by their good colorfastness, even at elevated temperatures. The mechanical film properties of sizings based on Baybond® XL 825 are developed fully by postcrosslinking at temperatures from 170°C for a duration of 20 minutes. The product is compatible with the additives normally used in the formulation of glass sizes, e.g. adhesion promoters, lubricants, antistatic agents and plasticizers. view less
