DISPERBYK®-181

DISPERBYK®-181 is a wetting and dispersing additive for aqueous systems. It is a solution of an alkylolammonium salt of a polyfunctional polymer. This product improves the storage stability (gloss, leveling) in emulsion paints, in tinting systems the color acceptance and color development is increased; in aqueous systems DISPERBYK®-181 is used in combination with a dispersing additive such as BYK-154 (see Data Sheet W220). In solventborne systems DISPERBYK®-181 reduces as a wetting and dispersing additive the viscosity and increases the gloss

Company

BYK has an established history of innovation such as being the first additive manufacturer to begin using Controlled Polymerization Technology (CPT), launching the first rheology-modified wax emulsion, and being one of the first companies to use nanotechnology for improving Coatings properties. BYK invests approximately 7.5% of its earnings in R&D—three times more than the industry average.
