DISPERBYK®-111

DISPERBYK®-111 is a wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-borne systems. It is composed of a copolymer with acidic groups. This product is designed primarily for usage in high solids and in solvent-free systems. Because of its anionic character, it is ideal for acid catalyzed systems (such as coil coatings). DISPERBYK-111stabilizes inorganic pigments, and is particularly effective with titanium dioxide. It increases gloss, reduces haziness (especially in high rotation “minibell“ and / or other electrostatically applied systems) and dramatically reduces millbase viscosity. A combination with pigments stabilized by the DISPERBYK-160 family (see Data Sheet W200) is possible without any problems.

Company

BYK has an established history of innovation such as being the first additive manufacturer to begin using Controlled Polymerization Technology (CPT), launching the first rheology-modified wax emulsion, and being one of the first companies to use nanotechnology for improving Coatings properties. BYK invests approximately 7.5% of its earnings in R&D—three times more than the industry average.
