CYCLOMER M100 Daicel (U.S.A.), Inc. CYCLOMER M100, compared with GMA, is hard to gel when it is copolymerized with methacrylic acid. It has also good cationic reactivity. CYCLOMER M100 can be radically copolymerized with vinyl monomer such as styrene, methacrylate ester and ethylene, and can introduce a cycloaliphatic epoxy group into the side chain of the polymer. Using the reaction of the functional group having active hydrogen and cycloaliphatic epoxy, a methacryl group can be introduced into CYCLOMER M100 monomer or copolymer. CYCLOMER M100 is suitable for the introduction of the epoxy group to aqueous resin, because the cycloaliphatic epoxy...view more CYCLOMER M100, compared with GMA, is hard to gel when it is copolymerized with methacrylic acid. Polycaprolactone diols have more excellent UV resistance and heat resistance than polyether diols, and a higher water resistance than adipate based polyester diols. PLACCEL 208 can be used as modifying agents, such as polyurethane, paint resin, and epoxy resin. Especially, the polyurethane of 208 bases is excellent in durability, hydrolysis resistance, oil resistance, heat resistance and low temperature characteristics, and it can be used for many fields, such as an elastomer, foam, spandex, adhesives, and artificial suede. view less

Polycaprolactone diols have more excellent UV resistance and heat resistance than polyether diols, and a higher water resistance than adipate based polyester diols. In particular, PLACCEL 220N is characterized for its narrow molecular weight distribution. Polyurethane elastomers made from PLACCEL 220N show excellent abrasion resistance and compression permanent set resistance. The recommended applications of these polyurethane elastomers are solid tires, rollers, scratching blades of toner for copy machines. Because of their low content of low molecule oligomer unit, the so-called “blooming” is not likely to occur. view less
