CYCLOMER M100, compared with GMA, is hard to gel when it is copolymerized with methacrylic acid. It has also good cationic reactivity. CYCLOMER M100 can be radically copolymerized with vinyl monomer such as styrene, methacrylate ester and ethylene, and can introduce a cycloaliphatic epoxy group into the side chain of the polymer. Using the reaction of the functional group having active hydrogen and cycloaliphatic epoxy, a methacryl group can be introduced into CYCLOMER M100 monomer or copolymer. CYCLOMER M100 is suitable for the introduction of the epoxy group to aqueous resin, because the cycloaliphatic epoxy group is stable in the water. view less
