Aquaflow™ NMS-460E rheology modifier is a solvent-free, nonionic synthetic associative thickener (NSAT) designed for waterborne paints and coatings. It is efficient in most latex systems and across all seen levels. It is designed to provide a balance of Stormer (KU) viscosity along with high-shear (ICI) viscosity, and thus can be considered a mid-shear effective thickener that can function as the sole thickener in many paint formulation based on hydrophobic resins, such as acrylics and styrene acrylics. With more hydrophilic resins, such as vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE), optimized rheology may be achieved with Aquaflow™ NMS-460E rheology modifier alone or in combination with a supplemental KU driver. view less
