This product has a water content of 0.1% max., a colour number of 100 Pt/Co max., and an active monomer of 97.0%. Bisomer® LMA is based on a natural form of lauryl alcohol; as C12 lauryl methacrylate the content is around 65-70 %. Bisomer® LMA is mostly used in the automotive industry for viscosity modification of lubricating oils. However, due to its hydrophobic nature and flexibilising properties, Bisomer® LMA is also extensively used in anaerobic adhesives, vacuum impregnation of aluminium castings, sealants and pressure sensitive adhesives (PSAs). view less

It is water soluble and offers a novel route to the production of traditional and water based UV curable urethane acrylate oligomers. As an alternative to HEA and HPA, it is non-toxic, easy to handle and listed as a polymer in the EINECS classification. This product has an acid number of < 0.3mg KOH/g, a saponification value pf 155-175mg KOH/g, and a molecular weight (av) of 336g/mol. It is an excellent, low shrinkage reactive diluent for UV systems based on urethane acrylates and vinyl esters (epoxy acrylates). Bisomer® PEA6 has a low Glass Transition Temperature (Tg) and offers excellent plasticising properties when incorporated into polymers, including emulsion polymers. Bisomer® PEA6 is ideal in the preparation of UV oligomers, emulsion polymers, printing inks and particularly in non-ionic polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) for ease of dispersion. view less
