BRO-11S2 is a fine red powder with a characteristic odor. This product is used as a silane treatment. It is composed of Iron Oxides (C.I. 77491) and Triethoxycaprylylsilane, which is a very reactive surface-treating agent due to the hydrolysis of Si-O bond that takes place readily in presence of moisture to form silanol. It is easy to disperse in esters, mineral oils, and silicone fluids and higher pigment loading can be achieved.
