The active elastomer gel is an alkyl (C12) functionalized silicone crosslined with polyether and swollen in Triethylhexanoin. The chemistry is optimized to stabilize water-in-silicone, water-in-oil and hybrid emulsions. Compared with conventional emulsifiers, it can stabilize emulsions with much larger particle size distribution, which is the key for light and fresh skin feel. The stabilization mechanism also allows emulsification with low shear, no homogenization is needed. view less
