This raw material has an excellent antimicrobial activity and can be applied in natural cosmetics. Verstatil® BL non GMO is perfectly suitable for surfactant based products and tonics. The combination with antimicrobial surface active substances (e.g. dermosoft® GMCY) is recommended to improve the performance against fungi in emulsions. Spectrastat™ is ideal for personal care products as an alternative to parabens, phenoxyethanol, MIT or other preservatives that may be undesirable. Spectrastat™ is effective over a broad pH range from pH 4 - 8 with a typical use level of 0.8 - 1.5% (w/w). Spectrastat™ may be used in emulsion, anhydrous, and surfactant systems. These include creams, lotions, shower gels, and color cosmetics. It may be added to the water phase, at ambient or hot temperatures, or may be added post-emulsification of O/W emulsions. view less
