KANEKA Surfactin is a natural surfactant with high biodegradability and low skin irritation. It is highly efficient with critical micelle concentration of 0.0003%. An uncommon chemical structure contributes to unique, distinguishing properties. This product is able to create D-phase, emulsion, a bi-continuous phase that incorporates both oil and water, using very low dosage. Saponification value 45-55. HLB value 15 (gives oil-in-water emulsions). Non-ionic, multi-purpose emulsifier (enables water and oil to mix). Emulsifying efficacy is increased when combined with cetyl alcohol or sorbitan stearate. Acts as dispersing agent and anti-static thickener. Very useful as solubilizer and stabilizer of essential oils. May be useful as hair growth supplement. view less
