When dispersed in water, it forms a card house structure, giving it thixotropic properties. This property allows for thickening of formulations, stabilization of emulsions, and suspension effects. Additionally, when applied to the skin, it forms a film on the skin surface, giving it a smooth feel and hiding pores and wrinkles. Furthermore, it has the ability to absorb sebum on the skin surface and dirt from pores, so it is also recommended for cleansing products.
