GIMAREMUL 165V is self-emulsifying glyceryl stearate. It is a mixture of glyceryl monostearate and the polyethylene glycol ether of stearyl alcohol with an average of 100 repeating units of ethylene glycol. GIMAREMUL 165V is a versatile nonionic O/W emulsifier for creams and lotions and has an HLB of about 10-12. Since it is a completely saturated solid material, it is very stable. GIMAREMUL 165V is useful in a wide range of personal care products and cosmetics and is compatible with extremes of pH from about 5-9 and high levels of electrolytes. view less

It can be neutralized by alkali to form clear gel. Once its carboxyl group is neutralized, molecule chain expands extremely and viscosity comes up, due to mutually exclusion of negative charge. It can enhance yield value and rheology of liquid substances, thus it is easy to get insoluble ingredients (granular, oil drop) suspended at low dosage.
