It is extremely emollient and acts to reduce greasiness and finds applications in skin creams and lotions, shaving preparations, sticks, roll-ons, and sunscreen formulations. PHOENOXOL® BD-10P is an excellent solvent for benzophenone-3 and other sunscreen actives. It is useful in stick antiperspirants where it contributes to emolliency and non-whitening. It should be particularly noted that this product is miscible in both water and in castor oil making it useful as a coupling agent or where water needs to be introduced into an oil phase. view less
